Healing

This therapeutic system encompasses various types of treatments influencing the body, mind and spirit. It has the potency to address and treat the very root cause of a disease, up to the genetic level.

The Siddha system, hailing from Tamil Nadu in South India, is a very vast and ancient system with various branches of knowledge such as Siddha Varmam, Siddha Medicine, Siddha Alchemy, and Siddha Yoga. The system was developed by the Siddhas, who are typically scientists, healers, alchemists, and sages all at once. Their healing methods are distinguished from one Siddha lineage to the other.

Siddha Pal Pandian has immersed himself in the Siddha Tradition for most of his life and brought about a holistic therapeutic approach called Siddha Vasi Therapy (Siddha Vasi Healing®). Having learned this ancient art from various Siddha Masters, he compiled their teachings and made further developments and discoveries.

This therapeutic system encompasses various types of treatments influencing the body, mind, and spirit. It has the potency to address and treat the very root cause of a disease, up to the genetic level.

There are three modes of treatment in Siddha Vasi Therapy, which are Varmam Therapy, Varmam Kalari Therapeutics, and a Healing dimension. Each mode of treatment contains further subcategories.

Varmam Therapy

Varmam therapy is one of the hallmarks of the ancient Siddha healing arts. Ancient texts like Varma Sutra, Varma Guru Nadi, and Varma Kannadi mention in their twilight language the locations and applications for these hidden Varmam points. However, without the guidance of a living Master, learning Varmam will fall short of its proficiency and might cause harm to the recipients. We are grateful to Siddha Pal Pandian for sharing this art in its authenticity and full proficiency.

Varmam pulli (points) are vital spots located throughout the human body, where vital life energy is easily accessible. Varmams are usually located at certain anatomical sites, nearby specific muscle junctions, joints, nerves, and endocrine glands. Varmam is where vital life energy abides in abundance and where the physical and subtle body are intimately intertwined.

All Varmams are located along certain pathways of energy, called Nadis. As long as there are no obstructions to the vital energy flowing through these pathways, the individual remains in a healthy state. However, due to incompatible lifestyles, food, daily routine, or injury to Varmams, the flow of vital energy can get obstructed. This obstruction is the root cause of various diseases. Addressing any disease on this primal level leads to authentic healing.

The stagnated flow of vital energy in any one Nadi can be restored to its initial healthy state through the proper application of Varmam. Each Varmam responds to a different amount of pressure and directional movements. And in addition to that, each disease or disorder requires a different sequence of Varmam to restore health and balance to the patient.

Varmam Kalari Therapeutics

Varmam Kalari Therapeutics includes approaches such as Maen Thadaval (gentle manipulation) and Thadaval Murai (retrieval and massage methods).

There are 3 kinds of Thadaval Murai:
• Sarvanga Adangal Thadaval
• Swara Thadaval
• Anga Thadaval

The varmam retrieval massages, ranging from short local applications to very lengthy full body massages, enkindle the Nadis (energy pathways) and enhances the flow of vital air through the Nadis.

Sarvanga Adangal Thadaval and Narambu Murichal (varmam nerve massage) are both examples of lengthy massages. The duration of a full-body Sarvanga Adangal massage is approximately 3 hours since it consists of more than a hundred applications, each repeated many times.

Some of the various methods in Varmam Kalari Therapeutics also work specifically to correct misalignments, remove blockages in nerves and muscles, facilitate lymphatic drainage, and so forth.

Pancha Prana Nadai

There are ten vital airs in the body called Dasa Vayu, out of which five are major vital airs.

Pancha Prana Nadai is a form of healing that enkindles and balances the five major vital airs in the body.

The vital airs are essential for the functioning of body, mind, and spirit. For example, the prana vayu works in the chest and up to the head, taking care of inhalation and many other functions. Apana vayu is the eliminating vital air, responsible for the excretion of feces, urine, etc.

If apana vayu is out of balance, one may have constipation, diarrhea, menstrual problems, and so forth. Similarly, if any one of the vital airs is out of balance, it can lead to symptoms related to the functions of the specific vital air.

In any disease, whether mental or physical, one or more correlated vitals airs will be out of balance. When the vital airs regain balance through the Pancha Prana Nadai treatment, health will improve on many levels.

Amritha Kalai is the higher aspect of Varmam Therapy and is unique to the Siddha lineage of Pal Pandian.

We can live without food for a certain amount of time, without water even less, and without oxygen for only a matter of minutes. But what about the vital energy? What about the intimate connection between our individual and universal existence? This is a primal connection, which we can’t afford to live without even for a split second. This connection between our individualized energy (named by the Siddhas as Vasi) and universal energy, is most primal to our livingness in all aspects of our life.

During an Amritha Kalai session, the therapist establishes a healing platform, whereby the patient’s vital energy gets in tune with its universal counterpart. This connection between the individual (microcosm) and the universal (macrocosm) is always there, but the lack of harmonious interaction between them leads to physical, mental, emotional, or hereditary conditions.

Reclaiming this lost connection to our primal existence can bring about healing not only to our physical but also to all other aspects of our existence. This is why Amritha Kalai is a very potent and most primal form of healing. It nourishes and heals us at the core of our existence. It corrects our core deviations, leading to authentic healing.

Its reach is far within and without. All our subtle energetic anatomical structures regain their original healthy way of functioning. It influences Vasi, Kundalini, Chakras, Vital airs, Nadis, etc… It’s a truly wholistic approach that does not exclude any aspect of our being.

It’s a very general form of healing, but also a very specific one. Depending on the healing platform created, the healing can reach very specific aspects of the individual, bringing about a healing of great precision.
